I have tried writing many books in the past but never was able to properly finish one. As a fan of dungeons and dragons, books, and roleplaying games I always enjoyed worldbuilding and character growth.
This story originally was based around the idea of what would happen to my D&D campaign world if the players didn't exist and evolved from there. Much of the D&D campaign world I made was also built upon an old sketchbook and short stories I created as a kid from elementary school, drawing monsters and characters. The drawing weren't good but they inspired many short stories.
As a child I loved the Redwall series by Brian Jaques, in a way thats what got me into fantasy world building.
Strangely, another inspiration which had an impact on my writing was the game Fallout New Vegas. How so? The choices and factions really inspired the D&D campaign that I based my story on, where there were many competing factions, tensions, and of course characters to interact with.
My first novel is not long compared to many other fantasy books but I hope to use it to introduce my fantasy world and create more books in that setting.
They are miniatures and dioramas I painted and/or made! I used scrapbook paper for the background/sky. I wanted to avoid AI images and am not so great at drawing-I felt like this was a descent compromise.
